Dipesh Mehta is awarded Chartered Financial Analyst charter

Dipesh Mehta, son of Mala and Vinod Mehta, has passed Level 3 of the Chartered Financial Analyst exam of the U.S. based Chartered Financial Institute. He was awarded the coveted CFA Charter this month. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter is well known as the gold standard of professional credentials within the global investment community. CFA designation is recognized worldwide as the definitive standard for measuring competence and integrity in the fields of portfolio management and investment analysis. At the point of writing this article there are only approximately 78,000 people from 126 different countries who have been awarded the right to use the CFA designation.

Dipesh has also previously completed his MBA and MS (Finance). He is currently working with Barclays in Dubai as Senior Relationship Manager in charge of Financial Instituitions in GCC / Levant countries.

He is probably the first CFA Charter holder among Bhagnaris. The community is pleased to welcome their very own CFA in Dubai.

Hey Dipesh, The CFA might be a 3 letter word but we are aware of the three fold efforts you have put behind. We have seen you stay awake at nights and are aware of the struggle. Maybe this qualification will appreciate you more in the world but as a family we love you and appreciate you for whatever you are. Love: Lachu Dada, Anju, Pradeep, Ajay, Kiran, Antika and Ashvik.

  8. Well done Dipesh. Being in Treasury for the past 27 years, I understand the value and how difficult it is to pass this exam. I didn't even try. I pray you become a Treasurer in the long run of an MNC and to do so my advice is to get out of FIs after some experience and get into other areas of Treasury as well, like Debt Capital Markets, Rates and FX and I bet you will go places. God bless you

  10. Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Banks have absolute power over the money system. Banks create and destroy money as they please. Our entire money system, which should exist for the benefit of the community, exists instead for banks to make loans and charge us interest. So long as the purpose of the money system is to allow banks to maximize their profits through the creation of debt and money, our economic decline will continue. Booms and busts are integral to a money system and an economy set up for the benefit of banks. The interests of the people and the interests of banks are in direct opposition to one another. Our way to prosperity is the elimination of the money and debt cycle banks inflict upon us.

The issue which has swept down the centuries, and must be fought sooner or later, is the people versus the banks." We are living in interesting times, and this issue will finally have to be fought and resolved in our lifetime. Banks clearly recognize their interests and fight to protect them. The banks have been so successful at this that the government, through the Treasury Secretary, acts in their interest. We, like the banks, must also recognize our interests and fight to protect them. We can remain debt slaves to the banks, and continue to struggle just to survive or we can demand the government provide an honest money system, and thereby become economically free.

  11. What is the use of cfa when banks are the cause of worldwide recession.
They are the first to get bailed out also.

  12. I think it is not proper to degrade somebody's achievement simply because of misconduct or dereliction by certain banks. After all, the point is to encourage youngsters not hold them responsible for flaws in the banking system.

You do not know what you are talking about and really need to get your facts right about CFA/ banks and recession. Instead of being happy for somebody's achievement you are passing malicious comments. This just show your insecurity!

Well done Dipesh! Congrats to you and your family. The sky is the limit for you after this. You make all Bhagnari's proud.

  16. Dear Dipesh,

I am sure some of the above comments will make you more determined to succeed and ensure that the customer's investments are channeled in correct direction. I have no doubt that the new breed of CFAs, backed-up by better regulated banking operations, will guide their customers well.

    All the best,

    Ramesh

  17. How does the CFA designation qualify an individual to make the right decisions in such a tough market?

No one can guarantee that a CFA charterholder will make better or the right decisions

  18. Congrats Dipesh, well done! It appears some people are harping on extraneous issues unnecessarily but just ignore them and carry on regardless.

  20. Seems this blogspot has become a ground for debate, discussions, frustrations, insecurities. Purpose of motivating the youngsters and celebrating their success has been lost. No wonder the yougsters or should I say even the elders have anti bhagnari feelings presently. It is very sad for people who are trying to bring the community closer.

Above comment was made at an unearthly hour which shows that my son's success has given some sleepless nights. These elements do not know what is sheer hard work and determination which pays off finally. They do not know what is going against all odds and achieving success. Regarding making the right decisions, let time do the speaking,do not rack your brains and question.

Nevertheless, this does not stop me from sending a Big Thank you to all the people who have showered their blessings and best wishes on my son.
